An introduction

I have recently returned to model railways after about 10 years, mainly due to some enforced time off work through ill health. In the past I always thought that the bigger the layout the better, even to the extreme of buying a designated shed for a layout. Since visiting the high quality exhibition at Hartlepool early this summer I have realised there is truth in the saying 'small is beautiful'. I have also found shunting puzzles and have started on two journeys to create an inglenook and a timesaver layout. This blog will hopefully demonstrate the progress I make. I hope you enjoy and look forward to any comments and advice you might have.
